My Daddy and Me. Isn't he cute?

My DADDY, Super SAM's 90th Birthday

My husband and I were tickled to attend the wonderful party my stepmother gave for my Dad's 90th birthday. It was a lovely brunch in Coconut Grove, Florida at a bistro called "Calamari". The food was excellent. Everyone (but my daughter) was there. I will try to identify people as I share the pictures. Obviously, the cake showed "Super Sam". My two sisters put together the collage in the background. In the picture frame is a congratulations letter from President Obama which also thanks Dad for his service in the USAF during the Korean War.

Glorious May

Flowers are blooming, pollen is everywhere. Allergies, too.

Just dropped in to post a big hello to you. I just received a huge shipment of batik and about 40 new bolts of flannel. Must list. Please check my Ebay stores.

The agreement with my husband for me to retire was:

  • I cook dinner every night (that lasted 3 days and he is cooking again)

  • I list at least 7 different things other than fabric or patterns every week (I'm a little behind on that)

  • I keep the house clean (LOL, 3 dogs and Alpha Dog, I try)

So, I need to get busy, busy, busy...and Fons and Porter is on TV now...gotta go.

Organizing...yeah, right!

I can't believe I haven't updated my blog since before Thanksgiving. WOW. Hope all of you had a great holiday season. Ours was Okay....then January 18th, my beloved Mom passed away. She had health issues but nothing that any of us thought was serious. She had a massive stroke and passed away 4 days later, never really recovering from the semi coma that the stroke caused. It was very sad.

April 12, I retired from work after 12 years with Hilton Reservations. It was a great company to work for and they treated me well but after my January wake up call, dear hubby and I discussed it and we decided that we could give up a few treats and live without my part time income.

As most of my friends know, I used to have an antique store. I specialized in Country American pottery and old quilts. I'm going to list some, just can't part with them yet. I hope you'll check my Ebay stores. OldGlory_Fl will be carrying the odds and ends on Ebay.

Now to get organized. I'll try to keep posting here. Be sure to visit my friends, too. Some of them have some great giveaways and contests. I know I'm still trying to win a GO from Accuquilt.

Hugs to everyone......leave a message if you want.
