Organizing...yeah, right!

I can't believe I haven't updated my blog since before Thanksgiving. WOW. Hope all of you had a great holiday season. Ours was Okay....then January 18th, my beloved Mom passed away. She had health issues but nothing that any of us thought was serious. She had a massive stroke and passed away 4 days later, never really recovering from the semi coma that the stroke caused. It was very sad.

April 12, I retired from work after 12 years with Hilton Reservations. It was a great company to work for and they treated me well but after my January wake up call, dear hubby and I discussed it and we decided that we could give up a few treats and live without my part time income.

As most of my friends know, I used to have an antique store. I specialized in Country American pottery and old quilts. I'm going to list some, just can't part with them yet. I hope you'll check my Ebay stores. OldGlory_Fl will be carrying the odds and ends on Ebay.

Now to get organized. I'll try to keep posting here. Be sure to visit my friends, too. Some of them have some great giveaways and contests. I know I'm still trying to win a GO from Accuquilt.

Cat Rag Quilt

Here are pictures of my latest rag quilt. It is all cat fabrics, front and back from a vast accumulation. Squares are 8 1/2" each so it's pretty large. Next, the dog quilt.

Be sure to check my listings for the leftover fabrics. I have lots. I'll be putting together listings of cat and dog fat quarter sets. Make your own quilt. Wonderful selection, I think.

Anyway, this one is for a friend who has been feeling poorly. I hope she likes it. I know she loves cats but can't have one because of allergies and asthma.

34 Days Until Christmas

Well, Ginger's real name was Wendy. Her Mom contacted my DH the next day and we sadly took her back. What a cutie pie.

With just a little more than 30 days until Christmas, I'm in a state of P A N I C!!

I hate to do gift cards. I think I can whip up some little stockings at least to put them in.

Another year gone, hard to believe. And I get a year older in a couple of weeks. Oh, woe is me.

Found a Puppy, Named her Ginger

Hubby brought this precious little thing home, today. He found her in the middle of the street. We have put up posters, listed her in Craigslist Lost and Found, Hillsborough Cty Animal Shelter list........need to find her owner.

Yes, a long haired Chihuahua. Not yappy at all. Cute as a button. Someone lost her. If you can help...........PLEASE!!

It's Fall, YAY!!

And with a little luck it will start to cool off a bit...not too much...we need those tourists in Florida.

I have neglected my blog for way too long.

Dear Hubby has been sick, but on the mend. Ebay, Etsy, Facebook all keep me busy.

Getting Ready for the Holidays

I'm still working on getting all the new flannels listed on Ebay. Check my store because I'm going to have a sale on anything listed for Christmas. Rather than pack it away until next year, come and get a discount!!

I have a nice size shipment of 30's repros on the way. They will be listed within the next couple of weeks.
